The Philippine Embassy in Oslo´s Chargé d´Affaires, ad interim, Ms. Mariel P. Algabre has met with some Filipino community leaders in Stockholm during the former´s official visit in Sweden on 27 June 2017. Aside from attending official meeting with officials of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and trade-related engagements with Swedish business groups, the meeting with some Philcom leaders provided an opportunity for CDA Algabre to brief the group of the Embassy´s vital tasks in assisting the Philippine government´s objective in fostering its diplomatic relations with Sweden. CDA Algabre also ascertain the group of Oslo PE´s commitment in collaborating with Filcom´s endeavors and humanitarian-related actions beneficial to Filipinos working and residing in Sweden.
CDA Algabre, who was accompanied during the meeting by DTI´s Trade and Investment Promotions Officer in the Nordic Countries, Ms. Mary Borromeo-Hedfors, likewise introduced Ms. Lilibeth Back to the group, who represented Erik Belfrage, the Philippine Honorary Consul General in Sweden.
