UPDATE 1: This survey is now CLOSED. We will post updates on the outcomes of the survey, including whether a chartered repatriation flight will be arranged, in due course. Please continue to monitor our website and Facebook page for updates.
In response to various requests for assistance received by the Philippine Embassy in Oslo, Norway from Filipinos stranded in Norway wishing to return to the Philippines, the Embassy informs the public that it is now looking into the possibility of organizing a chartered flight from Norway to the Philippines. If the flight will be confirmed, persons joining the flight will pay for their own airfare; the cost for the flight will not be shouldered by the Embassy or the airline.
We ask Filipinos interested in joining an Embassy-organized repatriation flight, at their own expense, to accomplish the following survey on or before 15 July 2020: https://forms.gle/v9V2MtWF1eJiL2vq7 The Embassy will move forward with arrangements depending on the number of people who express interest to join the flight.
The Embassy emphasizes that this is only a survey, and that plans for a chartered repatriation flight are still not confirmed. As much as possible, Filipinos in Norway whose return flights to the Philippines were cancelled should still continue trying to rebook their own flights.
The Embassy also reiterates that all persons arriving in the Philippines will need to undergo the mandatory COVID-19 testing and quarantine protocols of the Department of Health upon arrival. Except for OFWs, the costs of testing and quarantine will also be shouldered by the persons themselves.
