COVID-19 PUBLIC ADVISORY NO. 5: SHORTENED HOURS OF THE EMBASSY’S CONSULAR SECTION DUE TO COVID-19

In the interest of public health and safety due to the COVID-19 situation in Norway, the Embassy will begin implementing shortened hours for its Consular Section beginning tomorrow, 12 March 2020 to reduce the possibility of spread of infection, as follows:

  1. Assessment and processing of applications for passport, civil registry, legalization/authentication, and visa will be from 0900H to 1200H only, Mondays to Fridays except holidays (5th floor).
  1. Releasing of passport, civil registry, legalization/authentication, and visa will be from 0900H to 1500H only, Mondays to Fridays except holidays (4th floor).
  1. Expedited release of documents (for notarials, authentication, and visa applications) will temporarily be unavailable.

The public is advised to continue avoiding large crowds, maintaining social distance, and following proper hygiene to reduce possible exposure to COVID-19.
