Lahing Kayumanggi dancers and flair bartender Mr. Dennis Barela showcased Filipino talent and culture for Norwegian market

08 November 2019, Oslo – The cold pouring rain outside Amerikalinjen in Oslo was a stark contrast to the warm and festive atmosphere inside the hotel, where representatives from the Department of Tourism presented the Philippines’ tourism destinations to Norwegian tour operators and travel agents. Aside from highlighting the Philippines as a must-see destination in Southeast Asia, the event was an opportunity for the Philippines and Norwegian tourism industry stakeholders to meet and discuss steps forward in bringing more Norwegian travelers to  the Philippines.

During her remarks, Ambassador Batoon-Garcia encouraged the Norwegian tour operators and travel agents to look closely into the Philippines as an ideal tourist destination, not only because of its world-famous beaches, but also for its diverse and equally exciting attractions all year round.

Filipino talent and culture made the event more fun with performances from the Lahing Kayumanggi dancers from London, Mr. Dennis Barela, a Filipino flair bartender based in Spain, and Ms. Rheanne Lindeberg, a Filipino singer based in Oslo. END
