25 August 2019 – Filipino culture was proudly represented at the annual Eras Festival held in Oslo, Norway. With Filipino entrepreneurs selling delicious Filipino food at the festival, Norwegians and tourists roaming Oslo had a taste of what Philippine cuisine is about.

Ambassador Batoon-Garcia expressed her appreciation for the Filipinos who volunteered to take part in the multicultural festival.

Since 2008, the Eras Festival has been a celebration of the cultural diversity in Norway, presented through colorful parades, international cuisines, and traditional performances showcased at the Oslo City Hall.

The Eras Festival is organized by ERAS, an association of non-profit and voluntary immigrant organizations in Norway, in cooperation with the Oslo City government. According to its website, ERAS contributes to understanding between ethnic Norwegians and immigrants and among immigrants themselves, and aims to create bridges across different cultures, religions, nationalities, and ethnicities.
