Helsinki delights in Paisano’s Filipino Kitchen with a twist

The young and creative Filipino chefs of Paisano

5 February 2020, Helsinki –  Filipino cuisine continues to brighten the Helsinki restaurant scene!   Paisano opened last year in Helsinki centre with a bang , with  creations inspired by dishes from all over the Philippines, matched with creative cocktails featuring intense Filipino flavors. Helsinki showed its delight by  recognizing Paisano’s owners-cum-chefs  as one of 2019 entrepreneurs of the year ,  naming Paisano as one of the best new restaurants in 2019, and awarding Paisano’s Bar as the Best for 2019.

Heaps of praises from Paisano’s clientele are found in Trip Advisor, Google and other online reviews.  Quoted  in Paisano’s website www.paisano.fi , one client said  “The restauranteurs of Pobre elevate filipino flavours to a new level in Paisano.”   Paisano is another creative idea from the Filipino owners cum chefs of the successful  Pobre Filipino in Helsinki’s Kamppi shopping mall. Paisano is in Korkeavuorenkatu 45, Helsinki, a few steps from Helsinki’s famous Esplanadi Park.

Ambassador Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia of the Philippine Embassy in Oslo, accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Mariel Algabre, Minister Raul Dado of the soon-to-open Philippine Embassy in Stockholm, and Honorary Consul General Jyrki Kupila of the Philippine Consulate in Helsinki, spent a lovely evening at Paisano Restaurant  in their meeting with the Filipino community leaders in Finland.  The Ambassador congratulated the owners-cum-chefs of Paisano for promoting Filipino cuisine in Finland.
