at the Reiselivsmessen Oslo 2018

15 January 2018 -  The Philippine Embassy in Oslo, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism in London, participated in the Norwegian travel fair “Reiselivsmessen Oslo”, on 12-14 January 2018, at the Telenor Arena, Oslo, Norway.

The “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” booth of the Philippines promoted the different tourist spots of the country through maps and brochures which were distributed to visitors; videos that showcased Bohol, Boracay, and Palawan; and virtual reality goggles which showcased the experience of diving in the country.

Visitors of the Philippine booth were travel companies intending to include the Philippines in the itineraries they are planning, such as the APG Network for Airline Services, and Turkish Airlines; travel agencies like the New Nordic Group, and Jomfrureiser, which organize tours specifically for women; and groups and individuals who have already scheduled their trips to the Philippines, such as a family of 15 members, and a group of 10 women who plan to visit the world-renowned beaches of the Philippines. Aside from first time travellers to the Philippines, Norwegians who visited the booth included repeat travellers who plan to go back to the Philippines, after having experienced the warm hospitality of Filipinos, and the country’s beaches, cuisine, and rich culture.
