Philippine Ambassador to Norway Calls on Managing Head of the Board of Investments

14 October 2019 - Ambassador Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia, Philippine Ambassador to Norway, called on Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary and Head of the Board of Investments Ceferino S. Rodolfo, to discuss the interest of Norwegian businessmen in investing in different Philippine industrial sectors.  She briefed him on the sectors of interest from the countries under her jurisdiction, which also includes, Sweden and Finland.  They also had extensive discussion on the areas of cooperation between the Embassy based in Oslo and the Philippine Trade and Information Center based in Stockholm.

The Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), is the lead Philippine government agency that promotes investments in the Philippines. The Embassy assists BOI in encouraging Filipino and foreign investors to invest in the Philippines in desirable areas of economic activities. To facilitate investment in the country, BOI serves as a one-stop shop in doing business in the Philippines.  It administers incentives for strategic investment projects.

Director Lanie O. Dormiendo, OIC Director for International Investment Promotion was also present with a representative of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
