Philippine Embassy Discusses Possible Projects with the Filipino Helping Society in Norway

12 March 2021 – The Filipino Helping Society in Norway (Det filippinske hjelpesamfunn i Norge) paid a courtesy call on the Philippine Embassy in Oslo and presented their various programs for the Filipino community in Norway.

The Filipino Helping Society in Norway (FHS) is listed in the Norwegian Volunteerism Register as a voluntary organization which aims to help in the integration of Filipinos in Norway. According to its website www.fhsnorge.org, FHS programs include the conduct of free Norwegian language classes, career guidance seminars especially for Filipino nurses, and fundraising activities for communities affected by disasters in the Philippines.

During the courtesy call, Second Secretary Jahzeel Cruz, Third Secretary Christiansen Cabahug, and Cultural officer Eva San Miguel, discussed areas of cooperation with the FHS including projects to promote Philippine culture and Philippine products in Norway, and information dissemination on the Embassy’s consular and ATN services for the Filipino community.
