Philippine Embassy in Norway Joins the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Christiansen Cabahug and Attache Theresa Bantolo-Heikkila conducted the Information Campaign to End Violence Against Women for various religious communities in Oslo, Norway

12 December 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Norway joined the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women from 25 November to 12 December 2018.

With this year’s campaign theme, “VAW-free community starts with me”, the Philippine Embassy conducted an information campaign for the religious communities Sacred Heart Filipino Chaplaincy-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Council, Jesus is Lord, and Living Word Bible Center-Norway, on 7 and 9 December 2018.

During the information campaign, the Embassy encouraged Filipinos to report cases of domestic abuse to the Embassy, and to local police and health and social services. The Embassy also encouraged Filipinos to give the Embassy constructive feedback on how it can improve its delivery of services for abused women.
