Philippine Embassy in Oslo Donates Philippine Books and Other Digital Media to Deichman Bjørvika Library

28 August 2020 - To mark the Philippine celebration of the National Language Month (Buwan ng Wika) and the National History Month (Buwan ng Kasaysayan), the Philippine Embassy in Oslo donated seventy-four (74) books on Philippine culture, history, language, and tourism, and four (4) CDs on Philippine culture and music, to the Deichmanske bibliotek Bjørvika.

The Philippine books and CDs, which were handed over by Third Secretary Christiansen Cabahug and Cultural Officer Eva Margie San Miguel, were graciously received by Ms. Merete Lie, Department Director of the Deichman library, and Ms. Goro Aarseth of the Deichman’s Collection Division.

Director Lie and Ms. Aarseth expressed their appreciation for the Embassy’s donation of Philippine books and CDs, including the facsimile of Dr. Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, which would enrich the library’s collection on the Philippines. End
