8 May 2021 – In order to reach more Filipinos in Norway and Iceland, the Philippine Embassy has partnered with The Filipino Helping Society in Norway (Det filippinske hjelpesamfunn i Norge) in launching the online program “KapEmbalita.”

“KapEmbalita” is a portmanteau of the words “kape”, “embahada”, and “balita.” The program aims to inform and update Filipinos about the Embassy’s programs and services, over casual conversations and cups of coffee.

On the first episode of “KapEmbalita” on 17 April 2021, the Embassy discussed and answered questions about its passport and dual citizenship services. On its second episode on 8 May 2021, the Embassy explained and responded to questions about civil registry, notarial services, and document legalization functions of the Embassy. The Philippine Embassy was represented by Chargé d’ Affaires Maria Elena Algabre, Consul Jahzeel Cruz, Vice Consul Christiansen Cabahug, and Vice Consul Josel Mostajo.
