Copenhagen, 25 October 2018 – Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph G. Recto met with Chairman Søren Espersen and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament (Folketing), with whom he discussed matters of common interest between the Philippines and Denmark.
During the meeting, Sen. Recto heralded the Philippines’ rapid economic growth in the last few years and invited Denmark to participate in the administration’s “Build, Build, Build” program for infrastructure development.
As proponent of the Universal Health Care Bill in the Senate, Sen. Recto said that improvements in the Philippine economy have enabled the government to spend more on education and health. He looked forward to collaborating with Denmark on health care initiatives. END
